Enjoy the ultimate in audio performance, featuring a 265 watt, 8-channel amplifier and superior quality speakers.

    USB interface and audio streaming

With the Galaxy, you can use a USB connection to plug in your MP3 player and view your favourite tracks on the car’s dashboard display. To control the music, simply operate the HMI controls. Additionally, audio streaming enables you to transfer music and text from your Bluetooth®-enabled music player or mobile phone to the car’s audio system. Compatible with Bluetooth® Hands-Free and Voice Control System.

Ford Individual Rear Seat Entertainment System (DVD)

So even your most demanding passengers can enjoy their own personal space with movies and computer games. Includes Component AV inputs. (Option)

    CD-SD navigation system

Features a 5" display with colour map, turn-by-turn instructions to your destination and MP3 capability. Includes SD memory card slot for data exchange or map data. Available with 4GB SD card with detailed map data for 27 countries. (Option)

  • Lighting systems

Halogen Adaptive Front lighting System (AFS)

With AFS, the headlights swivel to the left or right by up to 15˚ according to your speed and the angle of the steering wheel. So, as you turn the wheel, the dipped lights swivel to illuminate the road as you turn the corner. This boosts forward visibility through bends and creates a safer driving environment. (Optional)

    Bi-xenon HID headlights

Galaxy’s bi-xenon HID headlights are more than twice as powerful as conventional headlights, but use only two-thirds of the energy. Also includes static cornering lights and headlight washers. (Optional)

    Static cornering lights

Integrated into the halogen Adaptive Front lighting System (AFS) and bi-xenon HID headlights, static cornering lights are activated when you turn the steering wheel 30°. These give even more light on sharper bends, to help you avoid any potential problems.

    LED tail lamps

The new LED tail lamp design is typical of the attention to detail to be found throughout Galaxy. This stylish design is also more energy efficient than previous versions, due to its use of the latest LED technology.

    Emergency Brake Warning

The rear brake lights are activated and repeatedly flashed during heavy braking, giving following drivers advance warning of a potentially hazardous situation. (Standard)

  • Active assistance

    Adjustable Speed Limiting Device (ASLD)

This new driver assistance system is included as part of cruise control. ASLD is designed to help drivers avoid exceeding driver-selected speeds unintentionally – for example, staying within legal speed limits during long road trips. By using enhanced cruise control switches on the steering wheel, you can adjust your top speed limit within a range of 30 to 180 km/h (19 to 112 mph). Should you try to exceed that range, the engine management system intervenes to maintain your set speed limit.

    Blind Spot Information System (BLIS)

This high-tech visual aid is designed to make longer journeys a far more relaxing experience. As another vehicle enters your blind spot, the system alerts you with a discreet warning lamp built into the driver’s and passenger's door mirror. (Option)

    Auto headlights

The lighting technology in the Galaxy has been designed to make night-time driving easier, safer and more comfortable. The headlights automatically turn on when the sensors detect a reduction in light conditions (including when the rain-sensing wipers are in use), which means you won’t need to turn them on at dusk, at night, or when you are going through a tunnel.

    Rain-sensing wipers

With six levels of sensitivity, autowipers on the Galaxy spring into action at the first drop of rain, increasing in speed to deal with whatever the weather may throw at you. Aside from the added convenience, it’s one less thing to think about.

    Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)

TMPS with individual wheel sensors continually checks the tyre pressure, providing accurate pressure data, and alerts you before any loss of pressure becomes an issue.

    Parking Sensors

There are front and rear sensors that make parking and manoeuvring both safer and easier. An audible warning helps you judge the distance between your car and any obstacle behind or in front of you, so you have complete confidence and peace of mind, particularly in tight spaces.

    Hill Start Assist (HSA)

HSA prevents you from rolling backwards when making a hill start. After releasing the brake pedal when stationary, the technology keeps the wheels braked, allowing the driver to move away safely.

  • Smart technology

    Power child door locks

At the click of a button, this innovative feature enables you to safely secure your most precious backseat passengers.

    FordPower starter button

You no longer need to insert the key into the ignition to start the car. You simply push the power button while holding the clutch down (or brake pedal on an automatic) and the engine fires into life. Also available with the Ford Key-Free System: the keyless entry system that lets you lock and unlock your car without taking your key out of your pocket or bag.

    Ford Easy Fuel

People sometimes mistakenly add diesel to their petrol tank – or vice versa. Ford Easy Fuel is a capless refuelling system with a mis-fuelling inhibitor that can tell the difference between the fuel pump nozzles used for petrol and diesel. So you’ll never put the wrong fuel in.

    Static cornering lights

Integrated into the halogen Adaptive Front lighting System (AFS) and bi-xenon HID headlights, static cornering lights are activated when you turn the steering wheel 30°. These give even more light on sharper bends, to help you avoid any potential problems.

    Quickclear heated windscreen

At the touch of a button, heating elements within the windscreen activate immediately to quickly and conveniently clear it of ice and mist.

    Ford FoldFlatSystem (FFS)

You could be a DIY enthusiast, or your daughter’s mountain bike could need picking up, or maybe you’ve been nominated as roadie for your son’s band. Whatever you and your family need to carry, Galaxy is flexible enough to cope. FFS means each rear seat folds down flush with the floor, plus the second-row seats can also slide and tilt. In total, there are an astonishing 32 possible seating combinations.

    Ford Key-Free System

New to Galaxy, the Ford Key-Free System is a keyless entry system that lets you lock and unlock your car, without taking your key out of your pocket or bag. Sensors around the car detect the presence of the ‘passive key’ and activate the locking mechanism accordingly (optional).

    Home Safe Lighting

The headlights and optional (or standard on high series) puddle lights stay on for a few extra seconds as you walk away from your car. A convenient feature that should help you see your way safely to your door at night.

    Electric Parking Brake (EPB)

The easy-to-operate EPB is engaged and disengaged at the flick of a centre console-mounted switch. EPB replaces the conventional handbrake, freeing up space.

    Blind Spot Information System (BLIS)

This high-tech visual aid is designed to make longer journeys a far more relaxing experience. As another vehicle enters your blind spot, the system alerts you with a discreet warning lamp built into the driver’s and passenger's door mirror. (Option)

    Cooled passenger glove box

By using air from the air conditioning system, the glove box is kept at a cool temperature.
